Actually, make a post about Menjangan Island has been my desire for a long time ago. I have been to this island twice in 2011. I fall in love with Menjangan Island because the beauty of white sand beaches and marine parks.

Vacationing to Menjangan Island is a complete package. You can find beautiful white sandy beaches (without tourists sunning and bikinis), snorkel the pristine coral reefs and also dive with a few choice spots. for those who want to see deer, you can hunt this animal photo in Menjangan Island. May be that’s way the island name Menjangan (deer in bahasa). And for the religious, in this island there were approximately seven temples that visited by a Balinese Hindus.

Menjangan Island is located in North Bali, exactly in the District of Buleleng. And is an integral part of West Bali National Park. Because the island is part of the National Park, then no one should live there. So if you want to be there, you can directly from Denpasar or stay over night in the tourist areas Pemuteran (10km) or Lovina (50 km). was a bit much, but it worthed.

Crossing to the Menjangan Island by using a motorized boats that can accommodate 10 people. It costs about 400 thousand rupiah (40 USD ). And it is limited for 3 to 4 hours. so more and more your entourage getting cheaper price. It should not be stepping on coral. In fact wherever we swim or snorkel, we do not try to step on coral reefs. although its looks hard, but actually living coral was also like a tree. When crushed, it can lead to broken and damaged. Taking reef animals like starfish is strictly prohibited.
Not allowed to feed the fish. If you ever snorkel in Benoa, Lovina, or even in Gili Trawangan you will be provided with fresh bread so you can feed the fish while snorkeling and it would swarming you. But it is not possible at Menjangan Island. Why? Because it will change the behavior of fish and not good for the continuity of the ecosystem. Besides, you do not need to bring bread to the fish in Menjangan Island. There is a lot of fish and casually passing by in front of your face.
For those who fear the depths, keep in mind that in Menjangan Island, snorkeling spot-shaped trough of the sea. Trench is a kind of abyss that on land. So the difference between shallow and deep regions is striking. Do not be surprised if suddenly you will be faced with a chasm in the sea. but this is the uniqueness of snorkeling spots on the Menjangan Island. Trench along the border of coral and fish.
